Again another wonderful story. About a gang of boys and their crazy adventures
back in sweet water IN. About their summer getting them selves in and out of
trouble, their fall activities of going back to school. The new pastor and his daughter, to thanks giving, to their winter rescue up in the mountain cabin. I won't
Spoil it for you, pick up Sugar Creek Gang and read them. While your at it let your kids read them too. Boys and girls of all ages will love and enjoy these great stories, that teach very good ethics and life values as well. In fact read them all
together as a family. Like I said everyone will fall in love with them.

3 stars. This was an enjoyable read. Big Jim and Circus are my favourite of the gang members, and then is Little Jim. He was so sweet in this one. :)

*I read the Moody Press abridged version, but I have read some of the original copies of this series and I much prefer those, as being more vintage.*

A bit short on plot and details, but still a good read for parents who want a more Christian-centric attitude in what they read to or give to their kids. The whole gang is here with a possible new member being added in the new book. Old Man Paddler is central to the tale with the boys saving his life once again.

Clocking in at 88 pages, it's a quick read even for younger kids and is a good book for bedtime.

Find it. Buy it. Read it!

There are some stereotypes about girls. They are called "helpless" and are said to be afraid of all bugs and spiders (although this is proved wrong in the book!). I, a Tomboy, don't appreciate these stereotypes. Overall though, a good book.

Much like the other ones in the series. Actual plot is pretty good but not enough time is spent on it. The plot did not start till the last four chapters which make it a boring read. But the actual plot was pretty good.

My step-dad gifted us this series of books, saying it was his favorite as a kid.

The books follow a group of boys who have adventures together, solve mysteries, and talk about the importance of faith in Jesus.

As soon as I finished this book, my son said, ‘can we start the next one!’

There is something charming about these books. They aren't great quality, and they are a little rambly. Yet sometimes it really does feel like a boy is narrating the story. And that's an accomplishment!
