I loved these books as a kid and I decided I wanted to read them once again and see how they hold up. Jack & Annie go on more adventures helping well know historical figures as Master Librarians. I like how these stories have grown with their audience and that the riddles and missions are more difficult than in the previous books. I thought changing the magic wand into something new each time was a nice touch. These books are always such a joy to read. So happy I decided to pick these up once again.
This story I read today was about a brother and sister named Jack and Annie that are going to save Christmas . It was night time when it started to snow out side. Jack and Annie went into the frog creek woods to find the magic tree house. When they found it, they climbed the ladder that leads inside it. Jack and Annie found a book on the wooden tree house floor that said, save Christmas. Annie and Jack said that they wish they went their. Then, the tree house spun and spun until it stopped. Annie and Jack stopped at a village. They climbed down the ladder then went inside the strange village. A village boy told Annie and Jack to go help the poor kids that want Christmas presents. So, Jack and Annie found broken toys on the streets, then fixed them. Annie, Jack, and the boy helped give out toys to the poor kids inside the village. As they where up to the last house, the door strangely creaked open. It was dark inside the house, when they found a ghost on a chair in the house. The boy told Jack and Annie that this house was haunted and no one lived inside it except a strange man that once passed away. So, Annie, Jack and the boy was frightened of the ghost, but the ghost seemed friendly. The ghost man said that since they are giving poor kids presents, he gave Annie and Jack a Christmas book. So, every child in the village was happy that they got presents. Annie and Jack would put the book inside their collection for Morgan lee fe. They both said good bye to the villagers, then left. The end
The perfect yet children's book I've ever read. I ran on a lot of thoughts during my time of reading and I so dearly wished to encode them all efficiently just to record my real-time thought processes. that would be so innovative and cool :< This is one book that I bought during high school just for academic purposes but I just skimmed past through it because I don't feel alive and real back then, bored out of my life. And yet reading these again today brings a horde of memories as well as regret and guilt in me of having not the time in those moments when I should've read this peacefully. Nonetheless, it's still a win. I loved learning about Charles Dickens' past and it sure does open more pathways toward literature for me.
I've read "Moonlight on the Magic Flute" and give it a 5 star rating. This book is about Annie and Jack using the magic tree house to go to a party back in time in 1762. They had to go there to find a brilliant artist who none other than a bratty little kid named Wolfie(full name: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. When he grew up, he became a world-wide famous piano player)!I gave this book a 5 star rating because around the ending, Jack learn how to use wits and talents. Plus, you learn a lot about Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. And this is why I recommend readers to read this book.
