Worldwide Critical Praise for Angel

* "This writing is what being brave is all about.
It brings up the kinds of things that are usually kept so private
that you think you're the only one who experiences them."
"Angel: The Complete Quintet"
International Edition Chosen Book of the Month
by The Gay Times, London

* "Tantalizing tales of porn stars, hustlers, and other
lost boys...John Patrick set the pace with 'Angel!'"
- Jesse Monteagudo, The Weekly News, Miami

* "...Some readers may find some of the scenes too explicit; others
will enjoy the sudden, graphic
sensations each page brings. Each of these romans a clef is
written with sustained intensity. 'Angel' offers a strange, often
poetic vision of sexual obsession.
I recommend it to you."
- Noveau Midwest

* "Self-absorbed, sexually-addicted bombshell Stacy flounced onto
the scene in 'Angel' and here he is again, engaged in further,
distinctly 'non-literary' adventures...lots of action!"
- Prinz Eisenherz Book Review, Germany

* "...'Billy & David' is frank, intelligent, disarming. Few books
approach the government's failure to respond to crisis in such a
realistic, powerful manner."
- RG Magazine, Montreal, Canada

* "...Touching and gallant in its concern for the sexually
addicted, 'Angel' becomes a wonderfully seductive
investigation of the mysterious disparity between lust
and passion, obsession and desire."
-Lambda Book Report

* "Each page of John Patrick's 'Angel' was like a sponge and I was
slowly sucked into the works. 'The Kid' had the same effect on
me and now 'What Went Wrong?' has blown me away!"
-P. K., New York

* "John Patrick has one of the best jobs a gay male writer could
have. In his fiction, he tells tales of rampant sexuality. His non
fiction involves first person explorations of adult male video
stars. Talk about choice assignments!"
-Southern Exposure

* "'Angel' is explicit, raw, obsessed!"
- Book of the Month Selection, Haven Book Club

* "I loved 'Strip'! The characters are more complex than one finds
in most erotic novels. I can't relate to bimbomania so I was
pleased to find young Strip is not only gorgeous but smart, well
spoken and talented. Even the boy Terry was credible and a nice
foil for the older lovers. A sure best-seller!"
-J. Howard, Atlanta

Hi, thank you for stopping by my profile.

Being middle-aged, single and British, the stereotype might be of someone boring, with most of life's adventures far behind him. I keep my life secret from the world; certainly I don't want anybody who knows me to find out anything to dispel the myth that I am anything other than the stereotype.

I love to write stories which include a submissive character. The interaction between strong personalities and weaker ones has fascinated me for years and although my outward appearance suggests strength, it's simply not true. Although men have used me in the past for their own gratification, my fantasy is to find just one who will be there always to make me do his bidding.

If anyone wants to share his experiences, I'm always happy to listen.
I'd like to hear your thoughts about my book too, why don't you shoot me an email at john_patrick@awesomeauthors.org.
