The book I wish I had as a young teen. An easy-to-read pep talk on everything from dealing with embarrassment to being a hero, this book has a nice conversational style that is sure to appeal to young girls. Advice from women in from all different backgrounds, fulfilling all different kinds of roles, they speak right to their audience. My only complaint was that the "confidence" section at the beginning of the book didn't include a section on service, which I believe is a huge piece of a person's confidence. However, I was pleased to find a large section at the end on charity, the last word. A great gift for any young woman in your life.

I have such fond memories of this book! It was one of the first books I ever checked out from the library in middle school & I read it again in high school. I learned how to make geocities websites from this book *hides* & it was literally my bible in middle school lmao. I read it again in high school strictly for the nostalgia even though some of the “advice” was outdated. Definitely one of the fondest books of my childhood that had me eager & impatient to be a teenager. Lol

This book offers practical suggestions and tips on various topics that girls and teens (and maybe even adults) have questions about. There are seven chapters with smaller sections that go into detail about different topics. For example, on the chapter of creativity, there's a section on how to find a good book to read or how to develop a new hobby. Other issues like how to write a resume, prepare for an interview, do laundry, and save money are important things that should be taught. This book is a good resource that isn't too preachy but it is encouraging and really believes that girls can do anything they put their minds to.

I got this book as a Christmas present from my dad in middle school.
This book was my BIBLE as I became a teenager. I remember flipping through it multiple times and keeping mental notes of which ones I would need to know in high school. There was even a section on meditation.
I tried meditation about a year and a half ago, but I distinctly remember reading that section on meditation in this book.

This will be my go-to gift for pre-teen and younger teenage girls. Savvy, practical advice on how to deal with teenage life in mature way. Variety of topics, such as: Unclog the Toilet, Ace the Job Interview, Write Poetry, Stop Sabotaging Yourself, and (my personal favorite) Talk Sports.

Nice little tip guide. Some things didn't apply to me, like applying for college. But the chapter about unclogging toilets will probably be very helpful in those moments of panic that will probably happen in my future.
