I first got to know the story through the TV adaptation, and I must admit that on top of not being native of the language (which honestly still comes with some downsides at my level), I had a few expectations when I started this book so I can't say for sure that my rating is solely focused on the written content... The atmosphere is actually quite different from that of the TV show (there is no obvious forms of humor, and some characters don't have the same role to play) but surprisingly, it did not bother me this time around. It simply felt like I was discovering the story anew, which was welcome and entertaining in its own way. Anyway, I had a good time reading this japanese book and i'm curious to try the rest of this series!
