A guided tour of one of the most beloved settings in literary history.
No city is as closely connected to literature as Dublin. Whether visiting the famous Long Room of Trinity College Library, St. Patrick's Cathedral, or one of Dublin's many literary pubs, literary travelers have plenty to explore and discover in this compact and energetic city. Bloom's Literary Guide to Dublin provides everything a literature lover needs to know to enjoy the city.
I thought this would be a book of literary walks and tours. Instead it is a book of random literary history, without a true guide to places. The exception being Joyce's Ulysses, where it tells you how to replay Bloomsday. But otherwise, its more lives of authors than literary landmarks. The last 5-6 pages of "Places of Interest" should have been how the whole book was organized. Anyways, not what I was expecting and I will need to find other resources to do literary tours of Ireland.
