Sarah Becan has been drawing comics since she was very small. Her food-based autobiographical webcomic "I Think You're Sauceome" sparked a love of food and culinary illustration, and her work has since appeared in various publications, including Saveur Magazine, Eater.com, StarChefs, and the Chicago Reader. Her first graphic novel, The Complete Ouija Interviews, was a recipient of a Xeric award, and she illustrated The Adventures of Fat Rice (Ten Speed Press, 2016). Let's Make Ramen, her first full length illustrated cookbook, comes out July 2019.

She would be very happy to do nothing but draw food all day.

Charming pictures and funny stories. Who knows if they were real and authentic, but it's a nice little art to have and an interesting concept.

This was an adorable, spooky, morbid little book, perfect for a Halloween treat. Featuring a collection of "interviews" Sarah Becan, her brother, and a few friends conducted with various dead people via some sessions with a Ouija board on Nantucket Island, it was a great mix of hilarious, touching, and just plain creepy- just how I like my Halloween fun. Becan's cute ghost illustrations are a perfect companion to the amusing, if somewhat disturbing dialog of her ghostly visitors, and their many tragic, untimely deaths, love of getting laid, and advice for the living. A short, easily completed comic, I'd recommend The Complete Ouija Interviews would be really fun to pass around at a Halloween party. It actually makes me want to dig up my parent's old ouija board from the basement and try out my own. Good thing I don't really believe in ghosts!

I think the existing reviews of this are quite good! I loved this little book, alternately dark and beautiful, funny and sad. I love Becan's simple but perfect art, and the collaborative aspect of creating this based on her brother's experiences in Nantucket. A great, fast read, and a lovely gift, I've found!

Sarah Becan strips away all but the essentials in this cleverly drawn, minimally narrated collection of "ouija interviews;" what remains is quirky, macabre, and almost irresistibly cute. As appealing as Gorey's Gashleycrumb Tinies, Becan's panels show a delight in the naughty bits that is all Becan's own.

So cute! Well, if you consider communicating with the dead and other-worldly cute. Well-told conversations via Ouija, Sarah Becan does an excellent job making this form of communication seem not totally creepy. Her visitors have character and brief, poignant stories to tell. Very well done. =)

Loved this little volume of Ouija board conversations! The illustrations were so sweet and the stories funny and somber by turns. Sarah Becan is one of my favorite comic artists ever.

This fun little book is enjoyable with a bit of clever twist. A quick read, done in comic panel format, with art that's endearing, accessible, and suits the story.
