Shontay Holloway is as faithful as they come when it comes to her husband, Kenny. For eight years she's been his support system physically and financially. She's managed to overlook the fact that he's a woman chaser and even turned the other cheek when he got another woman pregnant. Shontay would rather work it out with Kenny than start fresh with someone new. She's not satisfied but she is content. Is there really a difference? Shontay doesn't think so, but that soon changes when she meets Savoy Breedwell. Savoy is charming, successful, and has sex appeal oozing from every inch of his body. Shontay is intrigued and captivated by Savoy. Shontay finds herself torn between her vows and the man she's falling for. When tragedy strikes, Shontay learns that the love she thought her husband had for her is nothing more than a cover up for his true intentions. She becomes a woman on a mission. When she's finished, "Till death do us part" may have a whole new meaning.
Mz Robinson is a native of Huntsville, Alabama. As a child, writing poetry became one of her many hobbies. It wasn't until much later in life, that she reconnected with her love for writing and began to pen short stories. After falling in love with the characters she created, she turned one of her short stories, into her debut novel: What We Won't Do For Love.
BRIEF SUMMARY Shontay and Kenny have been together for eight years. While Shontay is busy being faithful, Kenny is busy sleeping with anything that walks. Shontay had to even put up with Kenny, getting someone else pregnant. However, Shontay always sticks up for him and always finds herself staying with him. Shontay later meets Savoy. Savoy will tempt Stontay on the life she really wants.
THOUGHTS
OMG, this is a must read. Though the book was spicy with intimacy, it was the storyline that didn't allow you to not want to read this book. Again, as I said in book one of the series, the author stayed true to the title of the series ' Love, Lies & Lust'. This story was filled with so much betrayal that it really made for a good read that kept my interest throughout a 9314 kindle length book.
Kenny and Shontay's story line was one that was frustrating with the relationship they both have, but most importantly, it was a good read as much as I wanted to scream at Kenny. When Shontay met Savoy, I fell in love with him. He was too sexy and a smooth operator. Shontay and Savoy's storyline will not disappoint the reader as they both steamed up the pages. Though the story seemed predictable, the moment Shontay's mother enter the storyline, the plot became even more interesting as things unfold and we get to learn more about the past, Shontay, and her marriage; this leads to murder and more betrayal, if that's even possible. Karma, what you did is already being done back to you and this book saw its share of it.
The main characters Octavia and Damon, from book one, were back supporting the main characters and they brought it. I will say this, Damon, is starting to scare me. Towards the end, you will know why I said that. There were many other characters that added to the twist and love triangle/square in the book. The ending was so unfair with a cliff hanger once the story concluded on Shontay, however, it has me impatient and I want to read book three yesterday.
Storyline: GREAT Intimacy: SPICY/ GOOD Enjoyment: GOOD Kindle length: 9314

“Married to His Lies” is the emotional trials of Shontay, a woman who has endured her husband’s lies and cheating for years. She meets a man who treats her like a queen and reconnects with a family member to face demons head on. Shocking information regarding her husband’s true character is revealed.
Although this is a spin off of another book, it reads and holds its own. You don’t feel like you’re missing something by not reading the first book. Mz. Robinson is an excellent writer; she captivates the readers’ attention and keeps you wanting more.
“Married to His Lies” was an excellent read. It was a real page turner from the first sentence. I can’t wait for the next installment.
I enjoyed this book. It took me longer to read than I planned because I wasn't able to read it consistently due to other life factors. But I was ambitious to finish it because it kept me a little suspended as to its finale. I will continue to read the series. Can't wait start book 3!!
Oh yea! This book was awesome!!! It was filled with such shocking twists! I'm glad that Shontay was able to find love with Savoy, after being married to Kenny and his lies for so long. She was so faithful and supportive of him and for what? All he wanted was her money. He didn't care if she lived or died, as long as he got his hands on her riches. Kenny soon finds that Karma is a B&^%#, and what goes around comes right back around!!! As for his baby mama, she finds out how it feels to play the other woman, and she gets to experience some of the pain that Shontay has been feeling for so long. Now that the she shoe is on the other foot and she too has been played by not only Kenny but her lover, she now understands what Shontay is going through or does she??? Looks like Damon may have a few skeleton's in his closet as well. Is Octavia overreacting? Are is Damon hiding something? Should she be worried? I can't wait to see what happens with the with Whitmore's. I'm hoping Damon is not a two-timing dog!!! On to Part III, The Lies We Tell For Love!!
Another hot one. I did like the first book a tad bit more, but this book is still very good as well. Reading a bit about Shontay in What We Won't Do For Love, and then her full story here, at times it had me thinking this chick has to be the dumbest fool on the planet for love. Some of the things she put up with were just unbelieveable! It was nice to catch up with Damon and Octavia and see that they were still doing well. Savoy mmmm mmmm mmmm, he surely came along just at the right time. Kenny, what a trip, he certainly got what was coming to him. This series has not dissapointed so far, and I can't wait to read more.
pretty good book however it was a little slow for my taste no action taken but there has to be another part to this story Alicia has so much to tell Damon is someone I wouldn't have married in the 1st place
Shontay was broken and Kenny preyed on that…little did we know the history that came full circle. This was a true page-turner and hard to put down until the end. Now to finish up BFF Octavia’s story.
Spoiler Free Review Married To His Lies is exactly what the title implies and then some. I really must applaud Mz.Robinson your plot twist leave me beggin for more. I honestly think that you have takin unexpected twist to an entire different level and then you put them in the best places causing me to speak the words "SAY WHAT NOW". I said that the undercurrent plot in the first bk in this series was Motives and in this book i would say that the undercurrent plot was Deadly Motives. Altho this bk could be read as a stand alone bk i very much encourage you to read What we won't do for love. It is a very good book as well!!
Shontay Holloway is a good girl she is a loving wife and an awesome friend. She has been with her Husband Kenny for 8 yrs. The problem is Kenny is a dog. D O G... Countless times Shontay has caught Kenny in Dingy motel rooms with various chicks. When Shontay meets Savoy Breedwell at a local Barnes and Noble she is very much attracted to him but does not make a move since she is married. Lucky for Shontay Savoy is staying in town for a while and his residence just so happens to be at her best friends house. Oh yes Savoy is staying in the guest house at the Whitmore's-Damon and Octavia Whitmore that is. Octavia being Shontay's BFF!! When Shontay finally gives in to the temptation with Savoy, Kenny decides it's time to be on his best behavior leaving her scratching her head and second guessing her actions. So what the heck is Kenny up to????
That you must read to find out and trust me it's worth it. This book takes twist to a new level and the ending is again A HUGE SHOCKER! That once again left me sayin WTF!

This book was about Octavia's friend Shontay and her drama with Kenny. Kenny was her husband and cheated on her all the time and had a child out of wedlock Alicia. Shontay inherited money from her mom is where the real drama started. And her Happy Ever After left Shontay with Savoy in Belize. And Kenny dead.
But the Epilogue ended the a call staying that "they" made it to their destination. Emphasis on "they". A secret call came in to Damon stating that they made it. But Shontay called to say they made it also and this was there first call stating so. Octavia got Damon phone and called the mysterious phone number and it was Alicia. Wtf....

I really enjoyed this book. Shontay Holloway is married to Kenny for eight long years. She has given him her all and all even though he hardly deserves it. Kenny is a looser in every sense of the word but Shontay continues to turn the other cheek. Everything changes once Shontay meet fine and super sexy Savoy. He is handsome and successful and caring, everything that Kenny lacks. Shontay soon finds herself faced with having to make some major decisions that will come with a LOT of drama!!!! Great read!!!!
Mz. Robinson just love to leave you hanging and wanting more! I just knew secrets were going to be uncovered from book 1 between Damon and Octavia. But no, this nook focused on their best friends Shontay and Savoy. I got so wrapped up in the love triangle, square, etc that I almost forgot Octavia and Damon got issues too. Guess book 3 will reveal more, I will definitely be reading that soon and hopefully will finish the series before the year us out. Love both couples and can't wait to read more into their sagas.
Married to His Lies by MZ Robinson is the 2nd book in the series. Shontay and Kenny are friend with the characters Octavia and Damon from book 1. Shontay and Kenny have been together for eight years. During the eight years Kenny has been unfaithful and continue to sleep around even once he is caught. Once again the storyline is great and the characters are well developed. This author has became of my top authors to follow.
Very good read. The author keeps you in suspense. There wasn't a moment when I wasn't hanging on the author's next word. Shontay puts up with her scumbag husband and just goes through the motions of her marriage- just settling. When Savoy shows up, you can't help but cheer him on and hope Shontay sees that she deserves better. Greed, lust and love. You can't get better than that. This book is a definite recommendation for all of my girlfriends.
Wow another phenomenal read. This story was full of lies, deceit, secrets and betrayal. The characters in this series will impact your life and have u wanting more. Married to his lies was full of unexpected twist and turns. This novel taught to true meaning of love and being in love.
Married to his lies taught the meaning of karma and the power of forgiveness. It is a must read you won't be disappointed.
There's not much to say about this book except that I absolutely loved it. It held my attention from the first until the last page. Mz Robinson definitely has a way of captivating her audience and making you feel the characters. I enjoyed every twist and turn even though I was hip to Kenny's game from the jump. For some reason I'm still suspicious of Savoy but I'm hoping he proves me wrong. I'm looking forward to continuing with the series
Damnnnnn!! Just when I thought they were wrapping it up!! That phone call at the end is going to have me up all night reading part 3! I still have some loose ends from the first book that I would like them to tie up but needless to same that damn Kenny was a mess!! this is one of the best series I have read in a while.
Great continuation to the Love, Lust, & Lies series. Mz. Robinson did it again with her story telling and twists that you just don't see coming. Shontay was a character you can't help but love and feel sorry for. Her husband Kenny was a creep to the fullest. This was a book that I just couldn't put down till I found out what happened. Loved it. Highly recommend.
First I didnt know this was part2 of What you wont do for love with that said it was too predictable and the ending like What you wont for love was suppose to be a nailbiter but really didnt have that shock value I will however read the 3rd book for the conclusion of this series
Shontay went through so much in this book. She never knew her marriage was doomed from the start due to something she had no control over. I'm happy she found happiness with Savoy. What is Damon's real story? The ending left more questions
Thanks Mz. Robinson for the page turner. I loved the drama it was hard for new to put this book down. I will immediately start the third book (THE LIES WE TELL FOR LOVE)
