Captured and Released

Rate this book
Thirty teenagers, freshman to senior, join forces sharing their lives, hopes, dreams, fears, and victories through story form, poetry, photography, and art. The title, Captured and Released, was chosen after many weeks of tossing around different types of titles. This one was chosen because of how they felt for most of their teenage lives. Captured by what they were told by society, their parents, certain friends, books, and social media. Some of the capturing was good and gave them a solid base, and some of the capturing was small-minded and they questioned it. The released part of the book shows their own severing of certain ties while learning to embrace their own dreams, reality, and vision. They are most proud of their work, their peers, and the people who made this book possible.
