Boys in Blue #2

Reasonable Doubt

Rate this book
Geo and Mack have faced a lot of problems, but when the problem is within their relationship, will Mack come clean and claim his man, or lose him to an old flame?

Geo Wilson's feelings for his partner Mack Sullivan run deep. But formerly straight Mack grows distant when Geo's old flame, a former female detective gone FBI, comes to town to take over the lead on their case. Geo makes no effort to discourage the woman, and Mack wonders if he missed the break up memo.

Geo's apparent rejection hurts and Mack begins to have reasonable doubts about where they stand.

For Mack, taking the next step is a huge risk and one Geo has never taken before. Geo's friendliness with the former girlfriend could be a sign of changing affection. It wouldn't be the first time Geo has left a broken heart in his wake and Mack's beginning to wonder if he's just become another notch in Geo's belt. All that's left now is the case and as it comes to a close, will Mack and Geo catch the killer only to lose each other?

Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of M/M intimacy, and is best read in sequence after Bad Boys, Bad Boys.

A year after they've lived together, Mack starts having bouts of insecurity and Geo finds himself having to fend off the persistent overtures of an ex, now an FBI agent, who takes over the case he and Mack have been working on. Lauren, the ex, may be a little overdone as usual, but I was relieved Geo didn't leave it too long to show Mack he has no intention of letting Lauren get a foot back into his life.

I read this back-to-back with the first book and that's the better way rather than trying out one to see if you like it enough to read the other. Much as enjoyed this 2-part story, it is this very thing that makes me mad. I'd rather than this had been released as one full novel instead of splitting them up. This doesn't just mar my enjoyment (were I to have read only the first book) but makes e-books expensive. But that's another thread...

It’s a year later and Geo and Mack are living together but not out to anyone. Life is good, they are still hot for each other and madly in love although Mack is reluctant to spread the word and Geo wants to announce it at the family BBQ. A serial killer is taking young girls and they FBI sends none other than Geo’s ex, a hot woman whom he lived with and was engaged to, but she up and left without even telling him she got the job at the FBI. She’s brought along her partner Andy, whose set his sights on Mack, while she’s determined to get back in Geo’s bed. Even after she finds out that Mack and Geo are together, she doesn’t give up and Mack is so certain that Geo will decide he likes girls better, he practically throws Geo at her, even though he declares his undying love. Due to work scheduling and additional kidnappings they don’t have much time together to talk it out and their relationship is tested. This was nice to see them a year later and how they had gelled as a couple. I wanted to smack Mack a couple of times for his paranoia and the way he was acting, but Andy did a pretty good job of that for me eventually. I think Andy gets his story and while at first I hated him and the way he acted, I liked him at the end and look forward to his HEA. The serial killer mystery really took a back seat to the relationship so there wasn’t a lot of details about the crimes, some, but it’s really Mack’s turn to decide if this is really it and if he believes it. Both great reads. I’ll definitely be getting the next.

**Grammar**

In this 2nd book of the series we see our guys back on a case. This time they are not alone, 2 FBI agents will help them and useless to say that one his Geo's ex (a real bitch)and wants him back, while the other wants to get in Mack's pants. We see jealousy, misunderstandings, but there isnt cheat. Geo tells his ex-girlfriend that he doesnt want to be back with her and that he has someone else now. While Mack refuses the other guy, Andy.
At start I didnt like Andy, but then I understood that he wasnt a bad guy and in the end he doesnt do anything more than flirt with Mack and later he will also help them to clarified the misunderstandings and tells Mack that he is being an idiot and if he doesnt do something Geo's ex will get him back and this will be all his fault bcs he doesnt have the guts to show how he feels.

Also in this book the guys cant stop from having sex in the most absurd places and one of them is at work, where they are also seen by Andy....

Luckily they are able to catch the killer, and I really dont know how that is possible since they cant stop having sex...

The book ends with Geo and Mack announcing to their friends and families that they are going to get married. This is a shock for most of them, like for Mack's mother that at start isnt really happy but then will tell her son that she will try to change and that she just wants him to be happy.

HEA.

Here Andy meets a man, one of Mack and Geo friends and sure as hell he will be his lover soon.

The continuation of Mack and Geo's story - now that they've secretly been together for a year. They live together and are still partners. No one at the precinct suspects that they are lovers also. But then Geo's old partner/fiance, Lauren, now FBI, returns for a serial kidnapping/murder case and makes a play for him. Mack is crazy jealous but won't say a thing - until he's coached by Agent Andy - Lauren's partner - to fight for his man.

Mac and Geo are back in this story and they're still smokin' hot. Problem is, Geo's ex-fiancee, Lauren, comes back hotter than ever. She now has an FBI badge, but she is missing one thing - Geo between the sheets. Is Mac and Geo's GFY relationship enough to withstand this test of faith? This story was super cute. Sure, the green monster rears it's ugly head, but it'll take more than that to pry these two boys in blue apart.

3.5

Ini ceritanya si Geo ama Mack udah bbrp bulan 'jadian'....
Kehidupan 'percintaan' keduanya berjalan aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamat sangat lancar & 'membara'.....

Mack mule 'jeles' ngebayangin saat Geo & Lauren masih jadi pasangan kekasih dulu, apalagi si Lauren terang2an niat banget ngerayu Geo biar balik lagi ama dia.
sifat posesif Mack pun muncuL...
Dia jealous berat.....

Mana si Andy mule gencar merayu si Mack pulak !
Haisssssssh, serulah pokoknya di sini.....

Akankah kisah cinta Geo - Mack bakal berakhir berantakan ?
Akankah Geo kembali ke pelukan Lauren ?
Akankah Andy mendapatkan Mack ?
Ataukah Geo berhasil meyakinkan Mack atas perasaanya ??
Well, jawabannya ada di ending buku ini....
Baca deh di jamin ga bakalan nyesel !!!!

This is the second book in the Boy in Blue series by Mia Watts and it's a year after the first book Bad Boys, Bad Boys. Mack and Geo seem to have the perfect symbiotic relationship as one of them puts it. That is, until Geo's ex-fiance, FBI agent, leggy, beautiful, blonde comes back to take over the case... and to take over Geo again. Mack is eaten up with jealousy because Geo doesn't seem to notice her attempts to weasel her way back into Geo's bed. Meanwhile, her partner is busy trying to work his way into Mack's, but Geo just doesn't seem to care, which makes Mack even angrier. Geo, being the outwardly lovable one is wanting to profess their love at the family barbecue but Mack isn't sure he's ready to proclaim their relationship publicly, especially with the slimy ex seemingly back in the picture. At this point, Mack is a bundle of insecurities and Geo in increasingly frustrated with Mack's pulling away from him and their relationship and this pesky other agent that seems to be hitting on his boyfriend. On top of all of this, they are having to partner up with the ex and her partner to try and catch a serial killer who is killing little girls. By the end, it is pointed out to Mack what an idiot he is being and he "puts things to right" in a rather dramatic fashion, putting the smarmy ex-fiance' squarely in her place, case gets solved, and we are set up for a sequel. All in all, it was a very enjoyable read. Although it doesn't have you captivated, it's not one that I wanted to put down until I was finished, and it's short enough to read in one setting. I really like Mack and Geo as a couple. The sex was hot. The plot was interesting even if it was something you've seen plenty of times before. I'll definitely read the rest of the series.

“It’s been exactly ten hours and forty-three minutes since I had your cock in my mouth. I’m gettin’ thirsty.”

This was just as hot as the first one!

“Your hole or mine, gorgeous.”
“Mine. Please, mine,” Mack said

“I want to taste you so bad,” Geo said on a ragged breath.
“Yes.” Mack’s voice cracked.
“I was only going to take your ass,” he said, reaching around to cup the globes. “But looking at your ropey dick, seeing it purple enough to bust, I don’t think I can take your ass until I have your cock in my mouth. God, look at it. It’s so swollen, it’s shiny.”

Yes there was a storyline other than sex, something about a serial killer and Geo's ex-fiance coming back and making Mack all jealous. I liked how devoted Geo was to Mack though. They were both very cute together, loved the banter in the bedroom.

“It’s been too fucking long since we did this,” Mack said, his voice trembling.
“Your fault. I wanted to shower fuck you days ago.”
“I’ve got my dick in your ass. You really wanna piss me off right this second?” Mack challenged.
“If it makes you hurry up and thrust, hell yeah.”
“You got it, sweetheart.” Mack pushed all the way in. His balls bounced on Geo’s ass and Mack hissed with pleasure. “You’re so fucking tight.”
“Because you didn’t fuck me in the shower.”
Mack groaned through his laughter. “You keep pushing that.”
“Until you start pushing, I’ll keep pushing,” Geo quipped.
Mack slapped his ass, pulled out, slammed back in. “Take it hard, then. Your ass is mine."
“And yours is mine, hot stuff.”

This was a sweet end to Mack and Geo's relationship im glad they came out in the end. Cute fun read.

In this sequel to Bad Boys, Bad Boys Geo and Mack have been living together for about a year. They're happy and in love but not out although Geo would love to make it public. A serial killer case brings back his beautiful ex-girlfriend and creates tons of stress for Mack. Luckily he finally gets his act together after acting at times like a paranoid idiot and they get back to being in love and happy. The mystery is pretty much background filler in the story as the focus is on the relationship of Geo and Mack. I liked Andy, the ex-gf's FBI partner, and look forward to reading his story at some point. Entertaining, fast-paced and pretty darned hot too!

This was a continuation of Mack and Geo's relationship from Book 1 in the series.

We get to see what happens when Geo's ex fiancee comes back into town and takes over the big case they've been working on. Can Mack handle the amount of jealousy he encounters? Does their relationship stand up against an old flame?

Once again Mia Watts just amazes me. It was really great seeing how their relationship grew and the men themselves learned new things not only about their partner, but themselves.

The sex was hotter, the frustration was palpable and the conclusion was exciting. I can't wait to see where the next couple leads to!

I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.

This review is for book 1 and 2. I don't get why authors divided a book into few short stories. Nevermind, it's just me :p as long as it's enjoyable I can't complain.

I like this short sweet story about 2 used-to-be- straight guys, they're cops and partners, then one day they just found attraction towards each other and fell in love. Both are hot, Geo's an Italian and Mack's an Irish...can you imagine??? *drool* their relationship is relatively smooth, there's almost no angst and problems. In fact I feel it's too easy it's unrealistic. Well go for it when you want a quick enjoyable read.

Sexy short. It was good to see Mack and Geo still together after a year but there were some pretty serious topics brought up which weren't given enough attention IMO and some of it was a little bit hokey (The rings? Mack is not a demonstrative person - he doesn't like PDA's so would he really wear a ring like that? It's a bit out there isn't it?). However, I like Mack and Geo and hope to read more about them. Also, this cover is much better than the first one.

I liked this one even better than Boys in Blue #1. I liked the characters in both novellas, but here I could really see Ms. Watts working to make her prose efficient and to give the reader maximum bang for the buck within the short length of the story. I don't generally like the shorter stories because there's not much room for either character development or plot development, but Watts does a good job here of cramming a lot of character and a lot of plot into a small space. Good going!

I would've thought this m/m romance was very good, even if I hadn't been mentioned in the dedication. :) I loved the first book ( Bad Boys, Bad Boys ) and I was thrilled to read more about Geo and Mack!

I didn't like it as much as the first book, in fact there was no need for a sequel to Geo and Mack's story. =/
Geo's ex was a real pain in the ass and the other guy were really annoying, I don't know if I'll ever read his own story (book 4 in the serie), and Mack behaved like a jerk. :(

Mia does not disappoint with this story, as usual. The plot is clever and catching, and she draws you in from the beginning. I am a huge Mia Watts fan and have read almost all of her publishings, my favorite is her "Handcuffs and Lace" series, if interested in her stories start with those, and you will be hooked. I would like to see some lengthier stories from her now. hint hint

Tasty appetizer. That's Mia Watts. She's like the TGI Friday's Happy Hour food goodies...the must haves while you're on your spirit-filled way to the main course of getting lit. Who ever really cares if they're loaded with fat-filled crap and gone too soon?

A must read for me after the first one. This one had a drop of drama and some jealousy as an old girlfriend enters the scene. I was thrilled to see that out of the two it was now Mack who was feeling insecure. The ending had me nearly squealing with happines.
