This sturdy board book teaches colors from fruits and vegetables and adds information about how they grow (on trees, in the ground, on stalks). The format looks durable despite fold out-flaps and see-through holes. A letter to parents suggests ways to interact with children as you read. It may also be fun to introduce some of the fruits and veges at meal time and talk about their colors where they grow.

I really love using this book for storytime. I am able to talk about colors, and fruits and veggies and make this book interactive by asking the kids to help me list more foods of the same color. This is a sturdy board book with big sturdy flaps. I highly recommend this fun and informative book.
