Librarian Note: There is more than one author in the Goodreads database with this name.
This is not the Shark Tank celebrity, but an author of children's books. The books are mostly realistic fiction about older children and teens who come from families that are dysfunctional or at least face interesting challenges.
Also used the pseudonym Paige Dixon and Gail Hamilton.
Sweet & easy to read (for an adult, at least). The YA novel portrays clearly how quickly the minds of adolescents (and, hey, adults, too) jump to erroneous and potentially harmful conclusions, especially when it may lead to the creation of rumours.
For this (it’s though that aspect was stymied by the parents) and for the fact of the protagonist & her bro trespassing and peeping into peoples’ houses, I would not want to give it to a YA in my life. At least the children are polite throughout.
