Preparing for a trip to the heart of Tuscany and I must say I found this hiking guide quite a disappointment.
There are 50 hikes of which more than 20 are in the Appennines and the Alpe Apuana. They are all about 3 hours drive in one direction from anywhere south of Sienna. The Tuscan hill country has only 9 hikes non of which are in the Val D'Orcia area which is supposed to be beautiful countryside with great hiking in Spring. So if you're in the Appennines this seems to be a great guide book but if you're in the heart of Tuscany and are looking for trails a reasonable drive away, you will be disappointed.
