After accepting the strange happenings in the farm town, Ciel, reunited with Ambrose, returns to the city of Heid. The twins are soon split up again as Ambrose sets off to take care of an old friend and Ciel takes on the Retria family with the help of a friend and lover.Meanwhile, Charolette rushes back to tell Ambrose what she's discovered about the sinister goings on in the underworld and begins a desperate attempt to save her friends' very souls.

About the author

M. was born in Tyler, Texas and became enamored with stories and writing in early childhood. She spent more time writing stories than notes in school and ended up attempting her first novel when she was 12. However, her first published work wouldn't hit the shelves until she was 23.

After a rough experience with a small publisher, she stopped writing for a couple years and only picked it up again after she got married, moved to Canada, and her husband encouraged her not to be so scared of failure. So she worked for years, crafting a new series and, in May 2019, she released The Traitor's Daughter.

She's excited to continue bringing new worlds, stories, and characters to her reader for however long she is able to write.
