If you like supernatural romance, you’ll find this an enjoyable read. As the new assistant to a popular novelist, Emily Adams moves to a lavish seaside estate in Maine. There, among the houses many nooks and crannies, she discovers an old ring and some journals that lead her to investigate a tragic incident from the past.

At the same time, Emily meets a mysterious and mesmerizing stranger named Patrick, who bears a striking resemblance to someone who lived in the house centuries before.

What unfolds afterward is part gothic romance and part mystery, these two elements balanced to bring about a satisfying conclusion. I was worried how the author was going to wrap the storyline, but I loved the way it ended. The romance was sweet and engaging, and the mystery kept me guessing.

I know this is a debut release, but I fully intend to read more from this engaging author. She definitely knows her genre!

What a great story! I am OFFICIALLY a Lauralynn Elliott fan. Reading this book was a great way to enjoy a Sunday afternoon. The relationship between Emily and Patrick held a wonderful balance of passion, frustration and tenderness. Who doesn't love a guy who will toss a jerk across a garden to defend his lady love? That's all I'm going to say except, anyone hoping to spend a nice afternoon falling in love and finding out what "happily ever after" really means would enjoy this book.

A really good book. It was a quick read for me, and THE PERFECT book for a cold windy afternoon. I finished reading it in about an hour and a half. LOVED IT! you can tell somethings up with Patrick the moment you meet him, however, my guess was wrong. :) The whole relationship between Emily and Patrick left me with that giddy school girl crush kinda feeling. I was counting the pages to the next time they got to meet, and the ending left me guessing and wanting more :)

I enjoyed this new book froma new author. Her charater development and situations bring a new level of enjoyment to reading. Lauralynn takes the old tired ghost story and adds new twist and turns which propel both the main charater and reader into a new and exciting realm. I think we;ll be seeing a lot out of Lauralynn and her different look at her subjects.
