It's murder, heartbreak, and Bigfoot steampunk-action in the book NPR calls "the most memorable series of the year " 150 years ago, Proof was a Victorian circus star while the serial killer Springheel Jack was stalking London's back alleys. When Proof and Jack both set their sights on the same woman, she doesn't stand a chance

He currently lives in the American Midwest with his wife and son. And a dog. And a tarantula.
The art is lively, detailed, and well composed...and I still don't care for it's style.
I still like the series though.
Not my favorite story arc in the series, but worthy of the likable main character (who, again I will point out, is basically a sasquatch Hellboy who wears a tie).
This is a truly exceptional piece of comic book writing. It takes Proof back to the Victorian era, mixing a murder mystery with a heartbreaking romance, and it's all based on real people and events. It's From Hell combined with the Elephant Man. This is undoubtedly the best in the series so far.
A solid volume of Proof. The whole volume is a flashback which adds a lot to the development of some characters but doesn't drive the main plot of the series much.
