Jeanne officially became a travel writer in 1996 when Lonely Planet hired her to updated the Croatia chapter of the company's Eastern Europe guidebook. She had never been to Croatia before but was interested to see how the country was coping with the aftermath of war. Even with the obvious damage both to the infrastructure and morale, it was obvious that Croatia had massive tourism potential.
She has been returning nearly every year since, first to updated Eastern Europe and then to write the very first guidebook in English to Croatia. What an adventure!
Eventually she decided to "go indie" with her travel knowledge and launch an online guidebook, Croatia Traveller. With this massive storehouse of constantly updated pages, Jeanne was able to provide more detailed and more recent information than is available in a printed guidebook.
With her new e-book, Dubrovnik and Beyond, Jeanne has presented her knowledge of this great destination in a fun and easy-to-use format.
Next up is a regional guidebook and after that, who knows?
