Nick O'Donnell is the engineering officer aboard a US Navy minesweeper in the Mediterranean during the Korean War. His Fiancée is back in Michigan and is unfaithful. She becomes a mother by another. Nick looks for a new woman to be his wife, but he decides to sail the world after being discharged to forget about his ex-fiancée. He buys a 43 foot sailboat and two other women sail on his boat. Romance develops and ends. He finds his wife after he finds a relationship with Jesus.
