The nth book I’ve read from Thibaut Meurisse! As always, I am very grateful for your humanly possible and practical guides on how to be the better version of myself. This book is a very great summary of all the 9 Master Series that I’ve finished reading last year. Some of them may seem to be redundant but for me, it’s a helpful reminder to review the main points from each of those master series. There are a few habits that I can practice right after each self-help book but honestly, sometimes I will need a nudge to remind me to be consistent.
I highly recommend this book to those who are looking to improve themselves in major aspects of life through a quick-read.
Straight 5-star for Thibaut Meurisse - a writer who have ever since greatly influenced and helped me to manage my time, my emotions, beliefs, motivation, thoughts, destiny, learning, to build life-changing habits, to crush my limits, and to always believe that success is inevitable!
I struggle to rate this book which I purchased simply because it was $0.99. I’ll settle on 2.5 stars rounded up since it’s an easy read and is likely more effective if you’re down and out and looking for simple ways to better your world and use the associated workbook.
I read this book for ideas to help the teenage foster youth I work with who don’t want to or don’t know how to take ownership of their own self and future given the horrible start and trauma/abuse they experienced in their early life. For them I found some tidbits and gems of suggestions to pass on so feel the book may be best for people who are really struggling.
However, for me, the writing was so elemental that often I wasn’t interested in reading on. I personally hoped there’d be new practical ideas or insights but instead found a compilation of simple reminders (I found Crazy Good: A Book of Choices better with more practical suggestions for those who have mastered many of these basics than simple mantras this book uses to wrap up each chapter).
All that said, there is a workbook available that if used may change my view on this book’s practicality which I did not use.
This is another wonderful book by Thibaut M. His message is direct, immediately understandable and thoughtful. --- His words just make so much sense to me.--- Everyone may not agree or appreciate everything he says, at first, but this book is worth reading at least three times!!! It is an invaluable key to unlocking one's mental equipment. Understanding how your brain is wired and "you" are not your thoughts or emotions is an important insight to begin the process of personal transformation.
I loved this! Very insightful, unique, and educational, I really enjoyed it. I found it very useful, and really am glad to have listened to it. I really liked the material, and the narrator. If you want to better yourself, learn techniques that will assist in this, I'd definitely recommend it. It's amazing what we can train (or re-train) our minds to do. This will give you a better understanding of why we do the things we do, and what we can do to change it :) Great stuff! There is a ton of goodness between these pages. This is a relatively short book but there is still lots of strategies in here to improve your life. Subjects such as productivity, habits, self-discipline and emotions are covered. There are strategies for each but I think its the overall mindset shift that would benefit most readers. I thought some of the physical health advice was surface level and could be considered incorrect, but the mental strategies were useful. I particularly liked the concept of 'blessing'. Recommended as another tool in your self-help arsenal.
I thought the book provided some good insight into things that could help improve and change habits. I felt like at times the book was not descriptive enough and referred to other books that created disconnects for me as I read the book. I find that the reference didn't allow the author to go into great detail about the book. I enjoyed the quick read and overall thought the message was motivating to inspire change.
This book is packed full of everything you need to know and how to apply it, with regards to changing who you are and explainingI will definitely be reading this again and again. I’m not new to the personal development topic so what I can say is that it was a really great refresher. All the main areas that will take you further in your own journey are here and well explained, to the point. I would really recommend this book to anyone who is trying to excel and become a better version of themselves
A genuinely helpful book, I enjoyed reading this book, and I plan to re-read it again to refresh the many life changing tips. The writing is simple and yet very deep and honest. I am a new man after reading this book - ultimately a happier person. I am very thankful.
After many years following my religion, reading this book has made me aware of why I am unmotivated to accomplish my goals. It has taught me how to respond to my brain when it generates negative thoughts and how to fight these thoughts. Inaddition, the conclusion of the book tells you how to be happy.
