These are my confessions, a few of the true stories that shaped my own sexual being, told in the same, secret whisper I might tell them to you if we were alone, sharing the heat of memory in the dark... From NEW YORK TIMES Bestselling & Award-Winning Author Selena Kitt Every erotica writer will some day face the question, “Did that really happen?” The thought that there might be a glimmer of truth behind the fiction seems more titillating in erotica than any other genre. The truth is, most mystery writers have never experienced anything like a real murder, but almost all erotica writers have presumably had sex, and have certainly been shaped by early experiences. In light of that, what is contained here is a series of short scenes titled “Confessions”-because that’s just what they are, a few of the true stories that shaped my own sexual being. Are they all completely factual? I don’t know if a fiction writer ever writes anything that is ever completely fact. Even when we’re journaling, we’re not journalists, after all. Nor are we poets. Fiction writers tell stories, we elaborate, we give the truth “scope.” So while I will say that most, if not all, of these stories did, indeed, happen, in some sense of the word-I have certainly, as most writers do, taken liberties, and changed names to protect the innocent. Or not so innocent. But these are my confessions, told in the same, secret whisper I might tell them to you if we were alone, sharing the heat of memory in the dark...

I loved the idea of this book but unfortunately it was a disappointment, I have never been a big fan of short stories especially within the erotica genera but I was hoping the fact that they are all supposed to be true stories of the authors would set it apart from the rest and it didn't. One of the biggest disappointments is that the stories don't always add up, in one story she is telling how she cheated on her husband while they where dating with another woman and he never knew about it. Then in another story later on it mentions how much he liked to her about her bedtime stories when she was sleeping with this other woman, I know it is supposed to be the same woman because that's how sex always started with them is a bedtime story but she must of forgot that she said he never found out about it.

Confessions about the sexual past of the writer.
Sexy short reads, to short to even call them novelles.

Beyond the mere curiosity of, did you really do that? There's something disturbingly tantalising about imagining the erotic story-teller becoming aroused while writing, and recounting the throes of passion that inspired their story.

I'd tell you that Ms. Kitt can write sex (and oh yes, she can) but that's not what's most enjoyable about this book. It feels less like made-up stories and more like those lazy evenings and quiet drinks with close friends, watching them blush as they share the naughty tales of their private lives. The appeal is not about enormous phalluses, beach-ball sized breasts, or spectacular bedroom gymnastics. It's about real people willing to share their intimate, and sometimes embarrassing, moments.

Would you, dear reader, be as brave as Ms. Kitt about sharing your private experiences? As for me, I promise to spill the kinky details when we have a few drinks some day.

This story was certainly very very good. Most of these stories read exactly like it was meant to be. Short erotic very stimulating confessions. I loved that it seemed like I was being let in. Being freinds, and hearing my bestie's tales of sexual encounters. There is something for everyone. You are just going to have to find out.

The title explains it all.
Selena Kitt gives us some confessions from past experiences with some not so true one mixed it. Can you deciced which ones are fact or fiction? Or who really cares? All senarios are a bit different, not all contain sex but most are intresting.
