Brody's Mimbres book is a must-buy for Mimbres pottery fans. He's an art historian, he writes well & clearly, and the photo quality is very good for its time. Cover pot is *amazing* in person, at UNM's Maxwell museum in ABQ -- which has a very good Mimbres collection. Here's a good photo of the cover pot: https://www.flickr.com/photos/2905046...

This was (if memory serves) the first major Mimbres show I saw, at the Heard museum in Phoenix around 1985.
