Cliff Cardin's Patterson's View is an exciting story where characters actions have consequences...deadly consequences. One of the many strengths of Cardin's book is his rich supporting characters. However, what I like most about Patterson's View is the realistic portrayal of people's reactions. A book with both a psychic and murderer could have easily become tripe.

However, what Cardin gives his readers is a rich conflict where the drama unfolds in a heterodiegetic narrative where the reader is shown the events over being told. Readers will find the flow of his story compelling much like a good action movie while still being taken by surprised with the twists and turns of the plot. The arc of the story is well paced with a thoughtful climax that surprised me as well as a satisfying resolution. I highly recommend that you read Patterson's View, a well crafted story of crime, mystery, and murder.

Patterson's View was one of those books that I had I hard time putting down. I think I was up till 4 am and then finished it the next morning. Cliff did a great job combining the supernatural aspects with a psychological thriller. His attention to detail is wonderful and the twist at the end was wonderfully crafted. I'd definitely recommend this book - just make sure you don't have to be up early the next morning!

Excellent read! Just got this yesterday, read it today and am very impressed with this author's first book. Great characters, lots of action, couldn't put it down and a totally unexpected twist at the end. What more could you want in a book? Jim rated this one 4 stars and finished it on 12-2-13.

This was a fun read, keeping me interested the whole day. It's really the first book I completed in a single day flying from MI to TX. Some great twists and turns, and an ending I didn't see coming.

I was wondering why a free book had five stars. Yep I know why now. This was a great book. Just enough suspense and great writing. I'm glad I read it.

Excellent mystery about a young man who can see events in the future. He predicts his own death from a predator. I couldn't put this one down until I finished it.
