This book was used during class on the 100th day celebration. In the book they were trying to find the 100th person in the mall. The students loved using the white boards during this read aloud. It helped practice their math facts and listening skills. You will be amazed as to how this book can show you which of your students are progressing in math facts.

This book is about a group of friends, the chess club from Wilson Elementary, who go to the mall on Mall Mania Day. The 100th person to get to the mall wins a lot of prizes, and it is the chess club’s job to do the counting. This book teaches students different strategies on adding. This will help students realize that there are multiple strategies in addition. Some students make a 10, where others add the ones and add the tens. Very cute book!
