Here is a fine quick-reference source for language students, teachers, and translators. The 501 most commonly used Italian verbs are listed in table form, one verb per page, and conjugated in all tenses, identified by English infinitive forms. Verbs are both regular and irregular, and are presented alphabetically for easy reference. Added material related to verbs and verb usage is also presented, including lists of hundreds more regular verbs, idiomatic verb usage, and more.
The '501' series is a great resource for any student of language, especially for those at the intermediate or advanced level. While I was taking Italian classes in college, there was never enough time to go over every different tense for every new verb we encountered, so having this book on hand really helped to fill in those blanks -- particularly when working on translations on my own. No matter how great of an Italian-English dictionary you may have, this book is definitely worth its price for the greater clarification that is readily available within its pages.
I have the Spanish version, so when I started Italian I knew I needed the Italian edition. It's a great reference when you're learning the language. Irregular verbs are noted and there's a list of 'essential verbs'. Each verb is conjugated through the tenses. Verbs with a lot of colloquial uses will include examples.
