Nina Snelling is a Terran Hunter on assignment. She has to retrieve a monk from a penal colony and return him to his brotherhood. Acquiring a position on the planet is the easy part, finding her target and getting off world is the tough portion. Especially when her life is complicated by her death, and her recovery. Hart Len was ready and prepared to use his healing talent on the corpse, but when it sat up and started screaming, his day took a sudden turn for the strange. Seeing the woman alive and breathing, he has to fight the impulse to stop her shrieking in the most pleasurable way possible.

This is a short story with adventure and shifter. Nina was on a mission to retrieve a monk. Getting in the planet was easy but finding her target was not until she was killed and it happens that the one who took her body to try to revive her was the monk she was looking for. From there they were on a plan to escape the colony.

This isn't my favorite of the Terran Times, but it's definitely a 3.5.

This short story is a fun adventure with the romance taking a backseat to the world building but worth the read as part of a wonderful SFR series.

Sorta monkish
Alien monasteries aren’t what you think. Alien monks don’t necessarily vow celibacy. Or poverty. Obedience, yeah - especially when Dad is the head monk. So, does a Terran woman find HEA on this weird world? Hint: Does Viola Grace write superb alienSF romance?

Short storty. 68 pages. Sci-fi, romance, ebook, short story. Alien shifter is sprung from prison by an enhanced woman from Earth. Very cute story.
