I am not religious, so a good bit of it was very specifically Christian to apply to me, but there was still helpful guidance in how to create a quiet space where you can hear your inner voice. I think there is value in that for anyone.

Time Away is a light yet detailed read that helps the reader piece together the elements of a personal retreat. The author provides detailed lists and questions for people who have heard about retreats, curious about their benefits, but have never been on one.

The book is an answer to, "What would I do and why would I do it?" I believe the author underscores the point that sometimes a good question can take you a long ways.
