If anyone ever made a cookbook with the massive generalities that this book has, no one would successfully cook or bake a thing. The lack of editing made this actually angering to read. Often having duplicate paragraphs right after each other, changing names of ingredients to be something else entirely, naming ingredients in the recipes that aren't in the ingredient list, not having amounts or temperatures...it's maddening. And this is supposed to be an advanced textbook in school! It's no wonder the educational system has gone downhill. (Yes, I know it's for Hogwarts students, but that's still a school.). I really don't think the author cared about the Harry Potter universe or the fans, because little to no effort was put into making it a good book, they just wanted to cash in.
This was a quick and somewhat fun read. It was made far more difficult and, quite frankly, irritating by the lack of editing. Duplicate sentences and even paragraphs can be found throughout the book as well as a multitude of spelling errors.
