Banished from his clan, Alistair Kirallen is a sword for hire and a man with a dream: to avenge his brother's death. 'Til a very different dream fires his imagination. She is his heart's desire, his one true destiny--but she is only a fleeting vision....
Deirdre Maxwell has also seen a vision--a wild dream of a man who cannot possibly be real. 'Til she meets her husband's new swordsman. Brave and brooding, Alistair Kirallen is haunted by demons only he can fight--demons that will lead to his destruction--and Deirdre may be his only salvation. But the power that pulls them together is not a dream at all. It is desire....
Good story but I liked the first book in the series better. I never got to truly like Alistair in either book. He was such a changing throughout the entire story. His flip-flopping was quite annoying, even if it was prompted by the spirits haunting him and being unable to figure what they meant. I quite appreciated that the author continued the first book in the series in this book, returning us to what happened a year earlier and setting it all to right again .
Not as good as I expected, but it kept me interested. I REALLY enjoy the visits from the dead. I am going to order #3 and hope it is as good as one and two.
