My name is Jane Taylor, and I've always had a dream of creating lovely soaps and running a thriving business to the point that people would see my soaps on store shelves and immediately recognize that they were made by me. With the exception of the part where I receive personal recognition, I was able to make that into a reality. Well, at least the majority of it.
I found the process to be quite time consuming and challenging, particularly given the fact that I was unfamiliar with most aspects of launching a new business. My one and only true passion in life has always been making lovely soaps, and boy! I came up with some really good ones. However, not long after I started to establish my company, I came to realize that creating soap and turning soap making into a full-fledged business are two entirely different things.
I had a steep learning curve ahead of me, but I was determined to succeed in spite of the fact that doing so could require me to give up something important to me. It was not until after a grueling period of two years that I was eventually able to push through all of the barriers and achieve success. I started with nothing and in just over two years' time, or about 26 months, I was able to build my company into a six-figure business.
By that time, I was well-versed in the intricacies of this industry, and I had an excellent distribution channel established with people who were assisting me in marketing my soap around the country. My soaps were selling well in specialty shops like boutiques and home goods stores, and even a few Whole Foods Market locations.
If you are interested in getting started, I have made the decision to share my "know how" with you so that you do not have to go through what I have gone through and waste two years of your life trying to make a success of it.
