You never know when or how the right fembot will find her way into your life, even when you have intentionally moved away from most of civilization to live a simpler life. When it turns out that she is escaping a bad situation for herself as well, and that her motivations dovetail nicely with your own, then magic can happen—but always be prepared for surprises.
Transcends Northern Exposure, Betty Boop, iRobot and Bicentennial Man.
Disguised as merely some great classic SciFi, this book will captivate your imagination on all levels, spawn new erotic fantasies and haunt your contemplation of the human condition.
Erotic Literature is not the same thing as p0rn. Erotica has a broad spectrum of kink, and an equally wide scale of heat, ranging from emotionally powerful yet subtly arousing romance to downright explicit and raunchy pulp. This story comes in strongly on the smart and heart side of heat.
Some are satisfied with an almost mass produced experience, filling in every detail of body part manipulation. While that provides graphic detail for 'ye olde bank of spanks', this book transcends that with a different yet equally satisfying approach. Like the best classic SciFi, it sets up a scenario that haunts the reader's imagination. Being so immersed, he or she finds herself living the full emotional and physical relationship within her nocturnal or day dreams. The first time I experienced this effect was with classic SciFi wherein was described the effects of zero gravity upon the bosom. This book is at least that provocative in other pleasing ways. Both approaches are valid and powerful.
You owe it to yourself to add this mentally, emotionally and physically arousing book to your own library, and to your own approach to the use of alluring fantasy. Did I say spiritually? Who can understand all multi-dimensions of quantum consciousness? Perhaps the good Lord always creates a living spirit to be embodied as anyone who might be considered to be truly alive, at least certainly self-aware, whether based upon DNA, silicon or nanostructures. The vivid degree of living humanity achieved by this author is fitting with such a case. I'm very impressed with this little gem, and I'm certain you too will be quite fond of it.
As for social value, I can't help but to see parallels here between the fembot scenario and the yet ongoing struggle of women's liberation. The issues here run very deep. This book should be taught in women's studies courses. Not that I expect it any time soon. Just needing to be needed is so unpopular with the angry left, dare any admit that within all persons, regardless of gender, is a deep need to be receptive? How might the bride of Creator wish to be commanded? These are but examples of how this story sets my mind reeling and my imagination soaring in countless possible ramifications. Methinks this tale resounds within hidden depths, not only for women's issues, but for the human condition as a whole.
My response to this story is five stars, magna cvm loud.
Every story I have read by D.B. Story has been well written and quite loving. This is another love story of a man and a fembot and I am a sucker for it just as I have been for all the others.
If the author is still alive, I wish him well. Thank you for your creations and your storytelling.
