Some sections are a little dated, but the basic principles and driving techniques are on point. A ton of good information for starting out and presented in an easy to understand way

Yep, I admit it. Kind of a random book. With a baby on the way, we were in hot pursuit of a more practical car: I planned to sell the motorcycle and stick-shift, four-banger Outback and buy a practical, family car. Mayhaps a sporty wagon? A SUV? A Minivan? And then, out of nowhere, my lifelong desire to buy a Porsche took control. So, I bought a pristine, twenty-two year old 911 Carrera. Mini-vans are designed to haul, Porsches, to haul ass. I figure it's cheaper and safer to drive her enthusiastically on race track than to do so on the public roads. . .

Excellent foundation for solo racing. Whether you are a solo racing veteran, or a newbie, it is crammed full of practical information. Tons of diagrams and illustration help clarify concepts.

Very educational! I like how it is written in a way that gets information across. Concepts are explained in a way that just about everyone should be able to understand. The casual tone is engaging and fun, while stressing safety above all. The content is comprehensive and recommendations are made for additional resources. Overall, a very good book.
