It's a reunion--mafia style! Dino, the 10th-generation of the Chiavorone family, and Reborn's former student, brings his squad of goons to pay Tsuna a visit. The explosive little Lambo decides to liven things up a bit by tossing several grenades at the goons. Things quickly escalate as Dino springs into action in a battle of whips versus grenades!
Akira Amano is the author and mangaka of the shonen manga Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
Amano began in 1998 with a job at Weekly Young Magazine. She also held a job at Shueisha Publishing Co, Ltd. In 2002, Amano participated in a contest for aspiring mangaka and was one of the lucky winners, with her comic Monkey Business published in Young Magazine. In 2004, she finally found success with the humourous and classy manga Katekyo Hitman Reborn! (or, for short, just Reborn!), and that thanks to her readers' support. This new manga was advertised more and more in Shonen Jump and became a hit. Two years later, her manga was made into an anime series by Artland studios.
Her ideas for Reborn!: Amano had some crazy ideas to entertain readers with. She came up with weird characters to add spice to the humour, a story written especially to be unique, and fast-paced action.

Probably the best volume so far, so I’m glad to end on this once since it’s pretty unlikely I’ll be able to continue this series (crazy OOP plus it didn’t even get fully translated) but maybe we’ll get a 2 in 1 or 3 in 1 new translation release since those are becoming more common for older series nowadays thankfully.
Most of the volume is average shenanigans, but there was some character development (kinda) for Hayato towards the end which was nice. Plus the final chapter of the volume was pretty funny, crazy how no one cares about Reborn and others straight up knocking people out and exploding shit though.
Thanks once again to my boy for getting me these volumes🙏🏻 neva woulda had a chance to read some of this series that many people consider a classic otherwise. I do also kinda like the aesthetic of this era of shonen jump advanced manga though - most of them are OOP sadly (like Strawberry 100% and Eyeshield 21) but imma try see if I can source a Rosario + Vampire boxset maybe. We’ll see ig🤫
This is so funny and unexpected. This must be the point where my friends and I started skipping through episodes of the anime because I don't remember much of this. The only thing that I had already seen was the meeting of Dino which is an awesome character I might add. Lovely and clumsy by himself, he turns into a deadly mafia boss with his subordinates around. There is also the additional background points to Gokudera's story which makes him far more lovable. Yeah... I bet you can't guess who my favorite characters are.
Reborn!, Vol. 4 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next eight chapters (26–33) of the on-going manga series.
Dino, the current boss of the Chiavorone Crime Family arrives in Japan to meet Tsunayoshi "Tsuna" Sawada, and also reunite with his former tutor, Reborn. During his stay, his pet turtle, Enzo, incidentally turns into a giant several times, but since he loses his physical abilities when his subordinates are not present, he is always unable to help, though Reborn shoots Tsuna with the Dying Will Bullet to stop it each time.
However, Tsuna is injured in the process and is checked into a hospital, where each of his friends cause a ruckus when they visit, annoying both the nurse and Kyōya Hibari, who punished Tsuna for their actions. When Reborn later takes control of a class at Namimori Middle School, he ends up attacking the students who answer wrong.
This tankōbon is written and illustrated by Akira Amano. It continues the daily life of Tsunayoshi Sawada and the antics caused by his infant home tutor, Reborn, who is training him to become the Tenth Generation Boss of the Vongola Famiglia. This tankōbon introduces Dino, who is the 22-year-old tenth generation boss of the Cavallone Family, which is part of the Vongola Family alliance. Dino is a young man with great skills as a fighter and a leader.
All in all, Reborn!, Vol. 4 is a wonderful continuation to a series that seems really intriguing and I can't wait to read more.
okay that volume was pretty good. the humour and jokes actually worked and were slightly funny. the characters did amusing things and made the short stories bearable and the new characters contributed something useful to the plot unlike the ones last volume. all the scenes with the turtle and his owner worked and were probably the first new characters for a while who were useful. overall a fairly decent volume of short adventures with some fun new characters and amusing situations cast got involved in.
The Chivarone Family head, Dino, has come by to meet Tsuna and reunite with Reborn, but he brings with him a turtle that ends up causing heaps of trouble - and not even his stay at a hospital can offer a respite, nor when he returns to a class how headed by Reborn! Amano brings fans more hilarity and oddball antics, a fun and easy read as always. Is Tsuna ever going to get a break, or is this chaos just the tip of the iceberg?
btw btw btw......
ASDFGHJKL MUNCUL LAGI COWOK KEREEEEEEEEN HAAAAAAAAAAA. DINO SAN KENAPA KAMU KEREN BEGITU. WALAUPUN KAMU CLUMSY TAPI KAMU TETEP KEREN. <3 <3 *aslinya ya, ngga ada manusia yang sempurna. Si Dino ini contoh yang tepat untuk membuktikan pernyataan itu LOLOLOL*
BTW, si Hibari.... KENAPA DIA COOL BANGET. BADASS PULAAAAK. Apalagi pas di rumah sakit. UGH. I CAN'T. *aku jadi inget sama hibari yang pertama kali aku baca lewat beberapa doujinshi, dan dia emang KEREN BANGET*
Ah... Yamamoto seperti malaikat.
4.5 The best vol yet!!! I really loved this vol!! What I loved most about it was how everyone is so loyal to Tsuna. His 'family' truly do care for him. I just love how they went to rescue him without any regard to their safety. It is just so sweet and gave me many family feels.
Also, in this vol we get introduced to another character named Dino. He is another mafia leader who is allies with the Vangola family. I can't really say anything else without spoiling everything, but I really liked his character. He was funny and just overall very charming. I hope he appears more often!
And that Reborn. Omg, especially in the last ch of this vol!! He is such a sadist, I swear!! But you can't help, but like him. He does seem to care for Tsuna and all the crazy stuff he does is to train him afterall. Poor Tsuna though. All these people in his life are just so energetic and crazy. I would have died of a heart attack by now!! xD
All in all, this was a VERY enjoyable volume that u do not want to miss!! And as usual the humor was spot on! ^^
The novel only introduced one new character (Bucking Horse Dino) but it was OK as it already opened up a lot of hilarious situations. It's still light stuff on the fourth tankobon but I'd say its funnier than ever. Mainly episodic but each story would introduce us to the different characters' traits, motivations, family background, etc instead of just being a 'filler'. Majority has been adapted faithfully in the anime but I can't remember the New Year episode where the two allied families (Vongola and Cavallone) competed. An anime version of that story would easily be full-packed as they can expand on the different events. It also established the (for lack of a manlier term) cute relationship between Lambo and I-pin that will act as an icebreaker once in a while in the later story arcs that would take a very serious and exciting turn.
Another decent volume, but again, nothing to write home about either. There was something hilariously awkward and yet heartwarming about their attempts to protect Tsuna's mother from con artists in the first story - an act which, with Reborn involved, succeeds in ways no one could probably have imagined (and with more blood). then Dino shows up, and once again, the addition of a new character adding to the ever-shifting interpersonal dynamics (haha, I make it sound so official and epic, its a comedy series about mafia babies at this point!) is the real highlight of the volume. The interplay between Dino and Tsuna and the ways in which they're similar is one of my favorite things in the early series.
Can I just say how much I love Dino?? And the fact that Hibari's like 15 but he has all of his classmates, the town's hopital and more under him is hilarious and terrifying at the same time lmao.
By far the best vol. Not only because appeared my fav character and his presence it's constant in the vol, but also because we are able to see the sad, and worry part of Gokudera trying hard to be the best right hand for Tsuna. We are getting more information and always it's funny read this.
