A three-dimensional interactive book featuring documents and photographs from the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
Experience the thrill of baseball through the documents and memorabilia of our favorite sport. America's Game is a fascinating collection of removable letters, contracts, newspaper clippings, and photographs. For the first time, the history and glory of baseball is brought to life in a three-dimensional, interactive format. Hold in your hand the tickets for the 1949 All-Star game at Ebbets Field. Read the letter Jackie Robinson wrote to a fan that eloquently defends integration. Study the minor league scouting report on an unknown shortstop named Mickey Mantle. Examine the legendary transfer agreement that sent Babe Ruth from the Boston Red Sox to the New York Yankees.
This is a very interesting and fun book. Here's a couple of items: in 1921 all 8 "Black" Sox players were found innocent in a court of law. Two days later Commissioner Kenesaw Mountain Landis banned all 8 of them for life. In 1931 Jackie Mitchell signed a professional baseball contract with the Class AA Chattanooga Lookouts. In an exhibition game against the Yankees she struck out Ruth and Gehrig. Commissioner Landis voided her contract the very next day, saying, "Baseball is too strenuous for a woman." I'm not saying Landis was the worst Commissioner in baseball . . . well, yes I am.
Hello! I just finished reading your story and wow, it was really amazing. The world you built is so cinematic, I could practically see the visuals in my mind.
I’m a professional artist/illustrator, and I take commissions on comics, webtoons, manga and manhwa. I’d love the chance to bring some of those scenes to life visually. If it’s something you’d like to explore, I’d be excited to discuss it with you. No pressure at all, but I just think it could be amazing.
Feel free to add me on Discord (eve_verse), if you’d like to discuss more or take a look at my work.
