The sixth installment in this popular easy-toread series features best friends Cork and Fuzz babysitting a little porcupine. But one of them is doing all the work. . . . When Cork needs help, Fuzz is too busy to lend a hand. Then Fuzz gets into some trouble of his own, and it’s Cork—and the baby porcupine—to the rescue.
Dori Chaconas learned story pacing from an early age while entertaining her younger siblings. The author of such picture books as ON A WINTRY MORNING, ONE LITTLE MOUSE, and MOMMA, WILL YOU?, she lives in Germantown, Wisconsin.
This is the fifth in the series that my library has. Fuzz always learns a lesson at the end of the book, but it doesn't stick, much less transfer. It's really getting old. And Cork could do so much better. So, I'm glad that I've access to no more of these, I guess, even though I do wish I'd been able to read the first two first.
Cork and Fuzz are two best friends that are very different. They work through disagreements and differences well. In this book Cork is helping out by babysitting and wants Fuzz to help because it's alot of work watching a baby who keeps putting rocks in her mouth! Fuzz is too busy building something and doesn't want to help until Fuzz gets tangled up in a mess and needs help getting out. I like that they work through things together and talk about different scenarios that come up when you have a best friend. Good attitudes and cute stories.
Cork is a short muskrat who likes to help out. Fuzz is a tall possum who likes to help himself. Two best friends. One was helpful, the other was Fuzz. One day while Cork was babysitting a baby porcupine, he asked Fuzz to help him, but Fuzz said he was busy making a bear trap. Lessons are learned when Fuzz gets caught in his own bear trap, and Cork cannot climb trees.
This is a cute story about friends who are quite different. The tale features Cork babysitting a baby porcupine and it's very humorous. The fact that babysitting requires a lot of attention is highlighted, as is the fact that babies like to put a lot of things in their mouths.
Cork agrees to babysit a little porcupine and would like some help from Fuzz when it gets to be too much. Fuzz finds he's too busy to help, but when he gets himself into a predicament, the baby porcupine comes to his rescue!
