Thompson served as Region 2 Director from 1989 through 1993 on the Board of Directors for the Romance Writers of America after joining the organization in 1985. She served as the coordinator for the 10th annual RWA conference, she initiated the organization's massive literacy fundraiser, Readers For Life.

As an author for Harlequin Romance, Val Daniels published ten novels.

I don't usually read this type of Harlequin romance because they tend to be imminently forgettable cookie cutter books and I have so many good books waiting to be read. That said, I picked this up while at a friend's house and found the story well written and sweet with nice little emotional hooks throughout. Good author.
