Reveals the mysteries of creating the dramatic, often startling miniature plants that typify the art of Bonsai; illustrated with beautiful 4-color photographs.
This book was better written than the other Bonsai book I read. It was much better organized and laid out. Unfortunately, like the other book, it still did not get down into the most important basics of how exactly someone learns to prune. It assumes a level of knowledge about plants and pruning that the beginner doesn't have. Also, the first half of the book is informative. The second half of the book turns into a nightmare of repetitiveness as it catalogues a ton of differnet types of plants, and how to grow them right. This could be important information, but I would recommend it as a reference, not a read.
