For two hundred years, psychic abilities have flowed through the women of Sela Bennett's family, skipping every other generation, including Sela's. And when tragedy strikes each man she loves, Sela questions her destiny—and vows to spend her life alone in the small town where she was raised. That is, until fate takes a decidedly different turn.

Renowned architect Ben Russell has no patience with small towns, psychics, or superstitions; but since work has brought him to Fairlight, Georgia, he intends to enjoy his stay. A summer romance with his landlady's beautiful niece is a fringe benefit too tempting to resist. Determined to thaw Sela's icy reserve, Ben soon finds himself falling in love with a woman who has locked her heart away.

Even as Sela's feelings for Ben deepen, she struggles to fight her desires; but destiny cannot be denied as Ben begins to experience ‘accidents'. It will take all Ben's love to unearth the secrets that bind Sela to a dark and grim past and give her the strength to face the future . . . in his arms.

MY REVIEW SO FAR:
Ok, I'm changing my review from a few days ago. The story is finally coming together and it's making more sense. At first I thought this was a Romance Novel, but there's more of a story than romance. I would say it's more of a mystery/suspence story with a little romance here and there, but it doesn't get into too much detail for those virgin eyes. LOL! I find myself telling my co-workers about it each few chapters I read through because it is pretty interesting. I can't wait to ride the bus each day so I can get back at reading so I can see what happens next. Then when I get home, I lay in bed or on the couch and read more. I'm hoping I can finish tonight. I don't have much spare time to read through an entire book in a day or weekend. I'm always so busy, but hey...I'm reading. :)
