Adie Sturm is independent, resourceful, and knows how to take care of herself. She heads to Cozumel for some fun and relaxation while helping out a friend who’s suspected of murder. Instead, she ends up getting shot at and attacked by a knife-wielding maniac. Addie doesn’t let that stop her from juggling two very sexy men though.

Wolf Du Lac is hot, sexy, adventurous and unattainable. Diego Alvarez is dark, handsome and mysterious, but he may also be the mastermind behind the attempts on Adie’s life.

Every time Adie turns around she's in danger and as she gets more involved with the men, she starts to wonder who she can trust. Although she still finds time to get in some sight-seeing and shoe shopping. She’s keeps in contact with a reporter and policeman from back home as she tries to solve the mystery of who murdered her friend’s colleagues.

A Corpse for Cozumel was exciting, suspenseful and left me guessing until the end. Adie makes a likable heroine in that she can kick butt, but still melts under the persuasive kisses of a hot guy. She even has a “hormone voice” and a “logical voice” going on in her head when trying to make decisions that just cracked me up!

The main men in the story were sexy and very attentive to her, which made for some steamy reading. The sexual tension was palatable between Adie and Wolf, and every time they were interrupted right before getting it on, I wanted to shout at them to put the “do not disturb” sign on the hotel door!

There were some cheesy one-liners, like when wolf tells Adie, “I could race my hot little Porsche to new heights she’s never dreamed of” and he’s not talking about a car. I also didn’t find it plausible that a policeman would be emailing a civilian information about an ongoing investigation. But overall the characters and dialog were believable and realistic. While the murders where solved at the end of this book, there’s a definite cliffhanger as to what’s up with the man situation.

Detailed local color and flavor combine with intense mystery and intrigue as well as steamy romance in A Corpse for Cozumel, an Adie Sturm Mystery by Anastasia Amor. Excellent descriptions, well-developed characters, and great action keep you right in the story, turning page after page to see what happens next. Sexual tension is high as Adie yearns to experience love but actual intimacy is limited. Adie Sturm is a wonderful character to help you enjoy another world from the comfort of your own home or beach chair. Gripping story, hot characters, realistic dialogue and fantastic action!

A wonderful blend of murder mystery, mayhem, sensual romance and chocolate. There’s quirky characters that add to the humor besides the quick dialogue. The heroine is an adventurous, strong woman who is undaunted by challenges. Adie Sturm attracts men...some downright delicious and others are deadly dangerous. Highly recommended!

Amor has a way of making the reader feel a part of the story. Adie Sturm is sexy but not a girlie girl. There's lots of action and suspense.Lots of dangerous situations. Can't wait to read the next one.
