Rating this book is very difficult, especially as an english speaker. 3 stars feels too low for this book, but 4 stars feels too high. As a whole, this book has a great in-depth look into Marianne Bachmeier's life and the events that led up to the shooting in the courtroom. If it were professionally translated into english, and not machine translated, this book would be a definite 4. However, the content within this book, while boring sometimes, was very interesting. I give it a 3.5 - which rounds to a 4 due to limitations with the rating systems on goodreads.

Attention ce livre, est un fait divers allemand qui à eu lieu en 1981. Celui de Marianne Bachmeier qui a tué l'assassin de sa fille. Un sujet dont la finalité peut amener à plusieurs points de vue. À lire seulement, si l'on intéresse au fait divers et si l'on n'a pas peur de perdre un peu foi en l'Homme. L'histoire est tellement émouvant, mais au fond dans la même situation, comment réagirions-nous ? Laisserions-nous la justice faire son travail ? Ou serions-nous tout aussi vengeresses/vengeurs ?

"Relato pormenorizado de uma catástrofe humana" e está tudo dito...

Achei um pouco difícil conectar-me a uma figura tão egocêntrica quanto Marianne Bachmeier, mas nos capítulos finais acabei por encontrar algo - ninguém merece experiência tão cruel. No meio de toda a história de vida, lamento pelas crianças que acabaram prejudicadas pelas acções dos adultos em seu redor.
