When a woman's body is found mutilated in a field outside of Houghton-le-Spring it's more than just another case for DI Lorraine Hunt. Not only does the woman's body show evidence of violation and human bites, it also transpires that Lorraine knows the victim. But she also knows that this is an exact replica of a crime that occurred many years ago, on an evening that changed her and her friends' lives forever.
Sheila Quigley started work at 15 as a presser in Hepworths, a tailoring factory. She married at 18 and had three daughters: Dawn, Janine and Diane and a younger son, Michael. Recently divorced, she now has eight grandchildren, five boys and three girls, and every Saturday and Sunday can be found at a football match for the under tens and under fifteens. Sheila has lived on the Homelands Estate (at present with her son and two dogs) at Houghton-le-Spring near Sunderland for 30 years.
Because Sheila Quigley books are all set in my home town area I am addicted to reading her books. Written so true to life with interesting storylines and characters I would highly recommend this police series!
Yet another great book in the Seahills series. I loved how this book took you back to when they were all young so you learnt more about their lives. I am really enjoying how the same character's are in all the books so that you start to connect with their lives. I throughly recommend this series to any reader that likes this genre. You get drawn into the book right from the start.
