Tessie Bradford lives in Michigan with her husband of twenty two years, two rescued pit bulls, a geriatric cat and a freakishly personality-filled Parrot fish named Fred. When her youngest went off to college, she knew that the time was right to pursue her passion for writing with the same fervor that her characters pursue their passion for each other.
The male is a Dom. But a poor job of it. Female is getting hot, but not enough info to make it believable. Sex description, boring. I didn't feel a pull to read further, so I quit.
First time author read but I liked her writing style so definitely not the last book I’ll be reading by Ms. Bradford. It all clicked, her writing style was smooth and easy to read, the story was engaging and the characters well developed in this short story. This story has some D/s scenes but nothing hardcore and the scenes between Jackson and Eleanor were hot.
Favorite line…
“Chains are bulky and tend to get in the way. I prefer silk.”
This novel certainly kept me captivated for quite a while. I thought it was well written and would bring almost any reader to the brink of their limits. Limits as in, not being able to read or turn the page quick enough.
Not a terrible book, but definitely didn't have the spice I am used to. Jackson seems less like a real Dom than most, more like a confident male with dom tendencies.
