New York Times bestseller Wendy Corsi Staub is the award-winning author of more than seventy published novels and has sold more than three million books worldwide. Under her own name, Wendy achieved New York Times bestselling status with her single title psychological suspense novels. Those novels and the women's fiction she writes under the pseudonym Wendy Markham have also frequently appeared on the USA Today, Barnes and Noble Top Ten, and Bookscan bestseller lists.

Wendy grew up in a large, close-knit family in rural southwestern New York State and decided she wanted to become an author while in third grade. She worked in two independent bookstores during college, then moved alone to New York City at 21 to pursue her dream. After stints as a book editor for a Manhattan publishing house and an account coordinator for a major advertising agency, she sold her first novel, the supernatural young adult thriller SUMMER LIGHTNING. Early in her writing career, she published in various genres including suspense, horror, historical and contemporary romance, television and movie tie-in, and biography. She also co-authored a mystery series with former New York City mayor Ed Koch and has ghost-written for a number of bestselling authors and celebrities.

Wendy now lives in the New York City suburbs with her husband of nineteen years and their two children. A 1986 graduate of the State University of New York at Fredonia, she proudly delivered the keynote commencement address at her alma mater in May 2008 and is serving a three-year appointment to the Dean's Advisory Council for the College of Arts and Sciences.

I liked this story. It's basically a story of opposites attracting. However, Wendy is such a good writer it doesn't get boring or cliche.
There is also a good deal of comedy sprinkled through. The bedroom scenes were not all that steamy so if that's what you look for, you'll be disappointed.
Overall, a great read.

A light, funny story of how opposites attract. A perfect summer light romance read. Likeable characters who just need to figure out what is holding them back, besides being stubborn.

Overall, the book is well written and has a cute plot. It's a bit corny at times, with the characters talking about love after 5 minutes of meeting and annoying at times, with them constantly trying to convince themselves they're all wrong for each other.

Part of me likes the characters and another part doesn't. Maggie can get annoying really fast. And I don't quite buy the my best friend is of the opposite sex and neither of us feels any attraction towards the other bit.

But the book is an easy read, especially if you're looking for a predictable, fun little story.

This was a fun read while lounging poolside on our cruise over Christmas 2014. Characters were a little crazy, but it made me laugh and was light enough for people watching at the same time... It also made me thankful that I am happily married and don't need to date as it can be crazy before you find the person you are meant to be with.

I just don't understand why this was written in present tense. In the end I almost started to get used to it but it was still annoying. There were some cute moments in this book, but Charlie and Maggie were both too stubborn for me.

cutesy, romantic drivel, but it was fun and kept my attention.

Fun book to read. The story takes place in NYC. Two friends want their friends to settle down even though they aren't settled down themselves.

read this book a long time ago. I used to belong to a book of the month club. recently was at the local library and picked up the book only to realize as I read the jacket, it sounded very familiar to me. I recalled the story immediately. it felt like a movie was running through my mind. Yup, I had already read this book.

I really liked the story about two people who get together while trying to set up their friends. some parts were funny I laughed out loud with some of the scenarios. no steamy love scenes but a good little believable love story.

After reading this one, I realized there were two other books telling the story of the brother and sister of the heroine. eventually, I will find them and read them.
