Daisy Meadows is the pseudonym used for the four writers of the Rainbow Magic children's series: Narinder Dhami, Sue Bentley, Linda Chapman, and Sue Mongredien. Rainbow Magic features differing groups of fairies as main characters, including the Jewel fairies, Weather fairies, Pet fairies, Petal fairies, and Sporty fairies.
Narinder Dhami was born in Wolverhampton, England on November 15, 1958. She received a degree in English from Birmingham University in 1980. After having taught in primary and secondary schools for several years she began to write full-time. Dhami has published many retellings of popular Disney stories and wrote the Animal Stars and Babes series, the latter about young British girls of Asian origin. She lives in Cambridge, England with her husband and cats.
Sue Bentley was born in Northampton, England. She worked in a library after completing her education and began writing for children once her own began school. Bentley is the author of the Magic Kitten, Magic Puppy, and S Club series and lives in Northamptonshire.
Linda Chapman has written over 50 children's fiction books, including the following series: My Secret Unicorn, Stardust, Not Quite a Mermaid, and Unicorn School. She lives in Leicestershire with her husband and daughters.
Sue Mongredien was born in 1970 and grew up in Nottingham, England. She has published over 100 children's books, including the following series: The Adventures of Captain Pugwash, The Magic Key, Frightful Families, and Oliver Moon. She has also contributed many titles to the Sleepover Club series and written picture books. Mongredien created the Royal Ballet School Diaries under the pen name Alexandra Moss. She lives with her family in Bath, England.

Personal Response: Rachel and Kirsty, with the help of Trixie the Halloween Fairy, try to get back the three magical pieces of Halloween candy that were stolen by Jack Frost's goblins, so that they will be able to save the holiday from disaster. This title follows the identical format of each of the others in the "Rainbow Magic" series, the only difference is that this one takes place at Halloween (I'm calling shenanigans on this "Daisy Meadows" person, and rather suspect some sort of computer-generated series). I know these books are immensly popular, and I can only surmise that some children find some comfort in and need for this kind of absolute repetition of storyline and plot (as do mine, who devour them). However, the utterly two-dimensional characters and plot leave nothing to my imagination.
the title of this book is "trixie the halloween fairy" by daisy meadows. this book is about how these girls found some fairy wings for halloween but her dog had scratched and ripped it.then her fairy told them to help her find the candy corn chocolate bars and caramel apples at the end they found all of the things and and had the best halloween party. I recommend this book to my friend katia because she likes fairy books.
With the help of Rachel & Kirsty, Trixie the Hallowwen Fairy must rescue the magical candy before Jack Frost finds it and ruins Halloween. Along the way, a mysterious black kitten name Moonlight guides them in the right direction.
What I liked about this book was how easy it was to read with the kids. As a chapter book for early readers (1st to 2nd grade), I thought this was a well presented story, simply told and action packed.
Trixie the halloween Fairy by Daisy Meadows .This book is about a girl that her costume ripped because of her dog but this fairy come and said she could help them if she helped her save Halloween from these ghouls.I like this book because it is interesting.I would recommend this book to my friend Tannia because she likes this series Rainbow Magic.
Leah loves the Rainbow Magic series, and I really like them, too. Appropriate for a young, new chapter book reader this is a cute story that I enjoyed, too.
I bought this book for our oldest as a "present" (or perhaps you could call it a bribe) in exchange for a bunch of her Halloween candy. It worked and she and her sister really liked the book. It's a fast read, one of the Special Edition stories in the Rainbow Magic series of books by Daisy Meadows.
Both of our girls read many of the books in this series and they really loved them. They have pretty much moved on to more substantial stories now (thank heavens!), but I am thrilled that they were so eager to read these books. They will still occasionally read one of these "Special Edition" books, especially since I bought several of them as presents in line with the various holidays they celebrate. I read this one before giving it to our daughter to donate it to her teacher.
I thought it was actually one of the better books, with a bit of drama and conflict that isn't normally part of these saccharine-sweet stories. Overall, it was a quick, entertaining read and was a particular favorite for our girls.

This was a good story for this time of the year. Made a good bedtime, quiet time read. Just the right amount of suspense to make her want to come back for more but not too scary (not at all) for bedtime.
My girls, 3 and 5, loved this book. It didn't necessarily keeping me hanging and wanting more. . but it kept their attention so well I gave it 4. It is a cute story and it was fun to read a Halloween book during Halloween time.
My daughter thought it was good. She would give the book 5 stars. Her favorite past was when they went to the big Halloween party and no one was having fun because a magic Halloween candy was still missing. There are 3 magic Halloween candies in total.
My daughter and I enjoyed reading this book. It's a fun Halloween story about the two girls helping fairies once again stop Jack Frost's evil plans. We've read several other books in the rainbow series and have enjoyed them all. These books are fun and easy reads.
i really like this book book because it's really interesting to me but i have to admit i hate like extremely hate Rachel because she is so nasty and does not help Trixie and Kristy find Trixi's things
Cute enough, my daughter liked it. I like being the one to choose the books personally! I would have chose something a little better but sometimes I don't get to choose I guess! :)
everything goes wrong during halloween. all the kids are staying home. the parents don't have any candy. they find 3 items they need to make Halloween back to normal.
