"What did the turkey say to the ham? Nice to 'meat' you." (Rob Elliott, Laugh-Out-Loud Jokes for Kids)
This audio program had good clean jokes, knock knock jokes, and tongue twisters for kids; however, even as an adult, it had me laughing out loud at times. It is read by children which even makes it more funny. Some of them where very good at pronouncing their punch lines. Some of the jokes, knock knock jokes, and tongue twisters I wrote down were:
Jokes
● Why can't a bank keep a secret? It has too many tellers?
● Why did the robber wash his clothes before he ran away with the loot? Because he wanted to make a clean get-a-away.
● Why don't you play hide-and-seek with mountains? Because they are always peeking (peaking).
● Why did Jimmy's parents scream about his grades? Because he had a bee (B) on his report card.
● Why did the credit card go to jail? It was guilty as charged.
● Why did Sally's computer keep sneezing? Because it had a virus.
● What language does a billboard speak? Sign language.
● What kind of caps do you wear on your leg? Knee-caps.
● Why was the nose feeling sad? It was tired of being picked on.
● Why did the ladder and the girl go to school? Because it was HIGH-school.
● How can you go surfing in a kitchen? On a microwave.
● Why were people looking up at the ceiling and cheering? They were ceiling fans.
● What happened to the beans when they showed up for work? They got canned.
● What do you call cheese that doesn't belong to you? Nacho cheese. (not-your-cheese)
Knock Knock Jokes
● Knock, knock, who's there? House. House who? House-it going for you?
● Knock, knock, who's there? Italy. Italy who? Italy (It will) be a shame if you don't open this door.
● Knock, knock, who's there? Alda. Alda who? Alda (All the) kids like my knock knock jokes.

Tongue Twisters (SAY THEM REALLY FAST!)
● Purple pigeons, pick pickles.
● Cooked cookies crumble quickly.
● Soggy stuff smells delicious.
● Big bad bears blow blue bubbles.
● You'll push, she'll push.
● Six slimmy snails sailed silently.
The audio program is only about 1 hour long, but it brightened up my day and I started texting my friends and bugging those I know with all these jokes! I am sure you will be tempted to too. :)

Good humor is a valuable commodity. Let me re-phrase that. Good clean humor is a valuable commodity. Clean humor is not as easy to find as you might think. Much of the humor of the past three or so decades is based on making fun of someone else or of other ideas. It capitalizes on someone's mistakes. It belittles and minimizes someone else's worth. To find good humor means leaving that base in the dust and finding things that are truly funny at no one else's expense. Even the definition of clean has variations and shades of meaning.
As a parent, when my children were young, I didn't want them to think that devaluing someone else was funny. Slapstick was fine, as well as play on words and incongruities. We loved all things animal humor. Those were our standards. This book contains a similar standard. It is written for young children, perhaps from 6-10 years. The content is squeaky clean. Many of the jokes date back to my childhood years with a few new ones sprinkled here and there. There are 126 pages of fun.
It is divided by chapters by categories:
Chapter 1: Questions and Answers
Chapter 2: Awesome Animal Jokes
Chapter 3: Knock Knock Jokes
Chapter 4: Tongue Twisters
Chapter 5: Some Things to Think About
One of the Question and Answers I've never heard before goes like this:
Question: What did the alien say to the flower bed?
Answer: Take me to your weeder.
Here's one from Chapter 2 I haven't heard before:
Question: Where do bees come from?
Answer: Stingapore and Beelivia
Do knock knock jokes make you groan?
"Knock, knock!"
"Who's There?"
"Everest"
"Everest, who?"
"Do we Everest from telling knock knock jokes?"
One parting shot:
"If a fly didn't have wings, would we call it a walk?"
Now, I found this is just one book in a collection. There are many more books just like this one. They came out with a new one in 2014 if you are looking for more. I recommend this to anyone who wants pure and simple humor for their children.

Nice mix
But some are not that great. You have to get through the bad ones to sift out the good ones but there are a few fun nuggets. I don't think young kids would get a lot of the references. Like what percent of kids know that a type of gas station is a shell station?

My son loved it! Engaging young readers.

December 6, 2012Ok, I guess I should really give this five stars for cute KID'S jokes, but many my kids have already heard. A perfect 5, for me, would be almost all jokes are new ones (but I guess it depends on how old your kids are). Oh well, the jokes are cute and I personally haven't heard many of them (but then again, I'm unfortunately not a kid anymore LOL).
Very useful for the younger grandkids just starting school, many a giggle enclosed. Considering I got the book for practically nothing, it was worth the small spend to see the smiles on the little one's faces.

This is a fun joke book, but definitely meant for kids. The humor is younger and even someone in their mid teens might find it a bit on the young side. The best part is section 5, things to make you think.

It's meant for kids but since I'm not a native speaker I missed a couple of puns. Many were based on phonetics versus spelling e.g lying/lion, sail/sale, sole/soul. Some were based on double meaning like roots (origins) and ( feeders of trees)
Many times a word was split up to fit the context like furniture/ fir- niture, poultry/ poul-tree

Ok, so these are kids jokes. The only reason I got this book is because my brother seems to always have better jokes for his grand kids than I do. If you put on your kid hat, they are funny enough. Nice to have them coalesced into one book.

Great for joke writing. It's a thesaurus for me in writing jokes. I don't think the writer is that good at putting these jokes together, but he does create a structure for you to take it the way you want to.
