The story's blurb would give you some sense of mystery with Sissy, the FMC, however, it might not be best to expect something big about this secret. The secret, would be immediately revealed in the first 5 chapter. Not too early, but not the best place to reveal the ony miystery that intrigue me, the reader.

However, the chemistry between joe Willie and Sissy is really beautiful and engaging. Furthermore, the side characters such as Buddy are really endering. Finally, what's really great about this book is the conversations. The characters are alive. You can feel it. You can hear it. The author really captured how the characters naturally speak, which shows the difference between a good author and a great author.

I liked the majority of the book. However- using rape as a plot device is lazy. Standard in most romance novels for some reason.

When I first got my e reader, this was the only author whose books I kept in paperback form because they weren't available electronically. They are a classic enjoyable read that I could keep reading over and over and over again
