The Little Book of Abuse

Rate this book
You've got clowns to the left of you, jokers to the right, and you're stuck in the middle unable to shut them up. Well, now you can with all the put-down lines and smart comebacks in this book. If you're all stressed out and you've no one to choke, pick a line and use it next time you feel like you're just flypaper for freaks. You'll find great put-downs such as "I'm not your type, I have a pulse" and "I don't know what your problem is, but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce."

Even though this book does contain some really good put downs (I particularly enjoyed ‘Don’t piss me off! I’m running out of places to hide the bodies’ but my personal favourite abusive threat of ‘I like you; I’ll think I’ll kill you last’ was conspicuous by its absence) and is occasionally laugh out loud funny, I do not think that this book is actually worth buying; especially as it does cost more than a decent pint of beer. It does only take about ten minutes to read, so find a copy in a big book store and discreetly read it before buying a proper book and spend the money you have saved on beer. This book is worth a read though and if reading books in the shops and not buying them appals you, then get it as a quick birthday gift for a friend and read it before you wrap it up.
