Rate this book
Detailing one of the most important public graphic design initiatives in recent American history, this collection presents the finalists and medalists from the 2008 Chicago-based worldwide poster competition and exhibition, which was endorsed by the International Council of Graphic Design Associations (ICOGRADA). Artists and designers from 43 countries submitted nearly 1,700 works to be judged by a group of some of the most lauded poster artists in the world, including Michel Bouvet, Shigeo Fukuda, German Montalvo, Yossi Lemel, and John Massey. The posters are showcased here on full pages in color and include design commentary, as well as a photographic record of the judging process as well as the exhibitions, biographies, and work of the jurors.
