I love that this book, though written about animals, is meant as a "self-help" book for adults but could easily be read with your children, too. There are a few spots where it gets unnecessarily preachy for a short paragraph - had the author simply stuck to the story I think he would have found the message relayed just as well. I think humans learn by example more than 'logic', any day... I enjoyed it very much.

Well, I picked up this book at random, not having seen it before or heard about it, thinking it was a kids story about a frog. Obviously I was mistaken, Ping is a sort of philosophical self help book disguised in a parable about a frog. The message is good and valid in the book, but I felt that it seamed a bit flat and obvious. I read in another review that someone felt that it was a 'bit transparent in its effort to impart wisdom' and I think this describes it perfectly. It's a nice story, but it's way too transparent to work as an effective parable. At least that is my opinion. I would give it 2.5 stars if I could.

The Way of Ping is the suequel of the author’s international bestselling book Ping. Ping is a parable about a frog who decides it is time to leave his pond for a better life. Like all of us when we start a new project, he has such enthusiasm. Inevitably though, he hits a roadblock. No matter how hard he tries, he just can’t seem to break through. His talents and optimism are simply not enough. He has to find a whole new way of thinking and a whole new set of skills. In the end, he finds something far more valuable than what he thought he was seeking.

In The Way of Ping, Ping is back. Learning the way and following the way is one thing but it’s also important to share your experiences with others to help them on their own journey. Therefore, in this story, Ping does just this.

Both Ping books aptly illustrate the spiritual journey and the road to change. It isn’t always easy. In fact, it is often more than you can handle with the talents and skills that normally use. The outcome, however, is something you could have never imagined.

A lovely tale with a strong meaningful message. Live an intentional life is of paramount importance!

The book tells us to combine our will power (mental health) with our stamina (physical strength) and a quite mind (spiritual side) to embrace change and be the change. The key attribute of the book's sucess - viral in many countries - must have been its hero's journey with a plethora of wise maxims that step by step guide readers.

The tragedy happening to the Owl at the end of the story has a strong implication and impression. It make the story become so real.
It's not very clear to me why the author's inspiration source was such a big deal, though.

By and large, young and lost people might enjoy this book very much.

It would love to give it 3.5☆

This book, based on teaching from a frog named Ping, produces an optimistic view of the power of self-motivation. During this adventure with Ping, he teaches success is derived from within us. Ping also suggests sharing your own experiences evokes your wisdom and enhances your life prosperity along the way. Overall, the book provides some great life lessons and uplifting quotes.

I enjoyed this book. Now, I need to read the first book about Ping.

Ping the frog, the main character of this story reminds me of Yoda - if Yoda were a frog and spoke English correctly. I like Yoda a lot but a lot of this book's sappy New Age advice almost made me want to upchuck.

This is a sequel to a book I didn't read.

I'm not planning to find that book. This book does have some value and could be worth something to a lot of people. For instance for me, it's short and helps pad my reading list for the month.

Cuốn sách này mình được thầy giáo dạy Toán chỉ cho mua và đọc, thầy bảo đó là cuốn sách thay đổi cuộc đời thầy.

Và mình nghĩ, mình cũng vậy!

Cuốn sách này mình đọc trong lúc ôn thi ĐH, và chính nó cũng đã tiếp thêm sức mạnh cực nhiều cho bản thân. Rằng phải bứt phá ra khỏi giới hạn, ra khỏi cái vòng tròn mình tự vẽ nên. Mình có thể làm nhiều hơn thế.

I only read this book because I got a free copy of it. The Way of Ping turned out to be a nice positive read. It's about a wise frog who helps 2 younger frogs learn about finding their way. The point is to find the purpose in your life.

This may have been a little bit too cheesy for my taste, which is odd, because I absolutely adored the first book, but I kinda felt like the whole 'patience, grasshopper' was too evident on this one.
Still I liked it a lot! There were lots of good phrases and advices that got to me, even if the book was really brief.

I'm not really into self-help books but in this fable-like format, I really enjoyed the book. It was a quick and entertaining read but I did find the advice to be common sense. I would like to try the first book though.
