These DK exercise books are so helpful at conveying complex info in simple ways, with lots of illustrations. This book is out of print, so I got it used and it offers more variety of exercises than the DK book on the Science of Strength Training. Plus it has more overall program suggestions.

The illustrations show exactly what muscles you're using when you're doing specific exercises. Clearest weight lifting book I've ever read.

Good book overall with a brief introduction about the fundamentals of strength training. Good plans at the end of the book. However, it lacks some info about good form and maintaining overall fitness with other kinds of sports such as cardio.
