Various is the correct author for any book with multiple unknown authors, and is acceptable for books with multiple known authors, especially if not all are known or the list is very long (over 50).

If an editor is known, however, Various is not necessary. List the name of the editor as the primary author (with role "editor"). Contributing authors' names follow it.

Note: WorldCat is an excellent resource for finding author information and contents of anthologies.

I read 'the upanishads' published in two volumes by Dover Publications. It is a part of the entire book on 'The sacred books of the East' translated or compiled into English from the original Sanskrit version by Max Mueller. This contains the gist of 12 of the hundreds of principal Upanishads in the Hindu scriptures. At first, I found it difficult to cope with the English in the book; but going on, it is simple to understand. I would like to read other parts of the sacred books, to have a comparison of the Philosophy of the Eastern countries
